How a fun casino runs

Guests should be given, in advance of playing, a play token. This can be fun money, casino chip, raffle ticket or any kind of hand-over token (print your own with company logo).

Your guests exchange the fun money / token at the gaming tables for chips and thereafter can start to gamble on any table.

At the end of the event (or any time throughout the event) your players can cash-up their chips.

The amount they accumulate is put on a win list and at the end of the event; the win list is handed to an organiser of the event. From this they will be able to see who won the most monies at the table and prizes can be awarded accordingly.

If required a pamphlet on the rules can be made available.

Add a little excitement to your event with these ideas!

  • A prominent display of prizes to be won.
  • Spot prizes at the tables, for example; a winning single number on roulette, or 21 on Blackjack.
  • An auction during or after the event.
  • A person selling additional chips from a cash desk.
  • An officer or representative of the benefiting charity.
  • Theming the evening! (our croupiers can dress accordingly).

After a short interval (while bets are being placed), the croupier will spin the wheel and feed the ball in the opposite direction in the recess of the rim. Players can still place late bets until the ball is about to stop at which point the croupier will say "No more bets" (any bets placed after the time is called are invalid).

After the ball falls into a number recess, the croupier calls the winning number and arrangement e.g. If the winning number is eighteen, they will call 'eighteen, red, even, one to eighteen', and pays the winners accordingly.

Blackjack

Blackjack rules are similar to the popular game of 'pontoon' or '21'. The object of the game is to draw cards 21 or as close as possible, without going over or 'bust'. Card values are as follows: Jack, Queen, King each count as 10. Ace counts as 1 or 11. All other cards have their face value.

The players place their bets to receive a card face-up, dealing clockwise, starting with the first player and ending with the bank. A second card is then dealt face-up to the players, excluding the bank. The dealer then offers each player, in turn, the opportunity to draw and receive more cards. If they want another card, the players say 'Hit' (these are dealt face-up) or if not they say "Stand".

The player can draw as many cards as they wish up until they think they have a score closer to 21 than the dealer will make. If a player draws the first two cards of the same number, they may 'split' the two. (A player may only split once), and bet the original stake on both hands. If two aces are split, the player receives only one card on each. If one is a 10, in this instance, it will be reckoned as 21 and not as Blackjack.

The dealer then draws their second card face-up. The dealer must draw on 16 or less and stand on 17 or over. If a players total is closer to 21 than the dealers, they wins even money. If the player and the dealer have the same total, no money passes. If a player has Blackjack (An Ace and any card valued at 10) and the dealer has not, the player receives odds of 3-2. If the dealer has Blackjack and the player has not, but holds cards totalling 21, the player loses their stake.

If both have Blackjack, no money passes.

A player may double their stake 'double down' only if their first two cards total 9, 10 or 11, but they can only draw one more card.

Poker

First a bet is placed in the ante box by each player, then five cards are dealt to each player and the croupier (whose last card is turned over for all to view).

The players look at their hands and if they choose to play they double their ante bet in the raise box. If they don't want to play they fold (normally placing their cards over their ante bet to show the croupier their intention).

When all bets are placed the croupier shows their hand, the croupier can only play with an ace, king or a higher hand. If the croupier does not have a hand then all players are paid out to match their ante bet only.

If any or all the players hand beats the croupiers hand then they are paid out even monies on the ante bet and they are also paid out according to the ranking of the hand on their raise bet, these pay-outs are:

1 pair or less
1-1

2 pairs
2-1

3 of a kind
3-1 (3 cards of the same value)

Straight
4-1 (run of 5 cards)

Flush
5-1 (5 of the same suit)

Full House
7-1 (3 of the same value and 2 of another)

4 of a kind
20-1 (4 cards of the same value)

Straight Flush
50-1 (same suit run of 5 cards)

Royal Flush
100-1 (same suit run from 10 to Ace)

Money Wheel / Wheel of Fortune

[IMAGE] Money Wheel / Wheel of Fortune
Table size is 4ft x 7ft,
which can accommodate
up to 20 players.

Another Las Vegas favourite, and perhaps the easiest of all games to play; noted for its stimulating fast action and atmosphere. This game is played on a large vertical wheel.

The odds are shown both on the wheel and on the table layout (normally by the denomination of the notes and a Joker playing card).

The wheel is spun after all bets have been made. When the wheel comes to rest, the winning bet is indicated by the pointer directly above the wheel.

An ideal game where large numbers of guests are expected.
